Roar of Tiger Mother..
Ini adalah entri yang tertunggak dek kerana terlalu sibuk menguruskan urusan harian..teaching years 6 is not as easy as i ever thought...too busy prepared abm (teaching aid) and prepared sources for extra classes..
Saya suka photojournalist dalam magazine TIMES sebab their pictures are superb! It is story about how a mother raised up her two daughter in traditional chinese way..walaupun they currently lived in America. State of democracy (*kononnya demokrasi...chitt podah!)
Gila if i had a mother like Amy Chua..tapi what she is doing adalah salah satu cara yang saya rasa I should implement in my own raising-kids-way. She believe that "children needs to know what their capability are" dan saya setuju. Kanak-kanak dilahirkan dengan berjuta-juta neuron aktif sebab Tu kenapa kanak-kanak sangat cepat belajar melalui pemerhatian dan eksperimen awal. Children needs force to know their abilities. Sebagai adult, it is our responsibility to show them the way or all we need to do is FORCE them..hahahaha...part ni ai suka...FORCE them..just like how my parents FORCE me mengaji quran sampai khatam..abah used to "luku" (hitting my head with his fist) when ever i made a mistake in reciting the al-quran... but today i thank him for doing that =)
As for Amy Chua herself, she had been raised up in a very strict family. They lived quite long in Philiphine before migrated to America. Amy Chua and her sisters need to speak chinese at home. For every single english word they utterd, they'll received a whack with a chopsticks..and only A's are accaptable in their report card. can you imagine that? there is one time when she took her father to an awards assembly at which she received second prize, he was furious. "Never ever disgrace me like that again" he told her...OMG....saya dapat no 2 pun parents tiyak tak sangga..hehehe
Tapi saya rasa teknik pendidikan Amy Chua is good. Saya rasa..kalau masa itu boleh diputarkan semula..i really hope my father jadi lebih strict dan garang dan expect more than what i capable to do..
